Cula recommends the use of a ZD241T model from Zebra to be used for printing labels.

Directly printing tracking labels from the web app requires the QZ.io application. This connection allows the browser to communicate with the printer without using the standard operating system print dialogue.

Setup On Windows

1. Install QZ.io: Download, install, and launch the QZ.io application.
2. Install Zebra Setup Utilities: This installs the correct driver. If the printer was connected before, remove it from the system settings, disconnect and restart the printer.
3. Connect the Printer: Connect the printer physically via USB and power it on.
4. Register the Device: Add the printer in the system settings. The device should appear automatically in the Printer menu. Open Zebra Setup Utilities to change the media size to 100x150 for the big thermal transfer printer in the printer’s settings. 
5. On the Cula app, navigate to Site Settings. Click on + under Printers:
6. Select your printer from the list:Once selected, the printer will be shown under Printers:
7. Reload the Cula App. In the QZ pop up to connect to the printer, select “Remember my choice” and “allow”.
8. On first print, a second QZ pop up will appear to request permission to print. Select “Remember my choice” and “allow”.

Setup On Mac

Enable troubleshooting on Mac

• Go to http://localhost:631/printers -> select the printer -> Administration -> Set Default Options -> Printer Settings -> Darkness: set to 30
• Print test page or a label once via PDF, afterwards, the settings should be applied
