Cula uses QZ Tray to communicate with printers and serial devices from the browser. A blocked browser permission leaves Device settings empty, even when a printer test page succeeds on the computer.
-
Confirm QZ Tray is running: Start QZ Tray if it is not already running. The QZ Tray icon must be visible in the Windows system tray or the Mac menu bar. If QZ Tray is not installed, download it from qz.io.
-
Open site controls: Open Cula in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge at https://app.cula.earth. Click the site controls icon to the left of the address.
-
Reset the permission: Under Apps on device, click Reset permission.
-
Reload Cula: Reload the page.
-
Allow access: When the browser asks to Access other apps and services on this device, click Allow. If a QZ Tray dialog appears, select Remember this decision and click Allow.
After access is granted, Device settings lists available printers and serial devices. To add a printer, see Setting up a Zebra Printer.
If Device settings remains empty, contact the assigned Customer Success Manager or email support@cula.tech.
