Setting up Shimadzu Moisture Analyser

The Shimadzu MOC63u Moisture Analyzer provides quality control for feedstock and final products. Integration with the Cula system enables automated data logging for process optimization and quality assurance.

Setting up Shimadzu Moisture Analyser

1. Follow all instructions in the setup manual provided with the device:
   1. Chapter 1: Before Measurement:
      1. Installing the moisture analyser
      2. Preparing the moisture analyser for measurement
      3. Levelling the moisture analyser
      4. Calibrating the weigh scale 
   2. Chapter 2: Measure
      1. How to begin the measurement process
      2. Aborting measurement
      3. Changing the moisture analyser settings
   3. Chapter 3: Connection to Peripherals
      1. Connecting to a PC
          
2. Install QZ.io: Data visualization in the Cula Platform requires the QZ.io application. http://QZ.io
   Skip this step if the QZ Tray was previously installed during Zebra label printer setup. 
    
3. Access Device Settings:
   1. Navigate to the left sidebar and select Devices.
      
   2. Click on Link within the Shimadzu MOC63u Device tile
   3. Select the relevant Serial Port, in this case, "/dev/cu.usbserial-XX"
      
   4. Confirm selection by clicking Enable
      
   5. Once it has been successfully linked, you would see the following: 
      
   6. In the left navigation bar, you will see a new device icon showing a Connected status
      

Troubleshooting

If No serial ports available is shown, verify the QZ Tray application is running and refresh the browser page.
